NOT A TRAVEL GUIDE BUT A VIBE CHECK🌴
So, this summer vacation (which was literally 15 days—what a generous break, right?), I went to Goa with my parents. And yes, this is a BIG deal because we never go on actual vacations—unless you count my nani’s house. So this year, I was begging my mom to take us somewhere, and guess what? We booked tickets to Goa a day before flying out. Yes a day before . But also iconic. I quickly packed my cute outfits, sunscreen, and unfortunately… umbrellas. I was ready to enter my tropical era. But of course, the universe said:
“HELL NO. She can’t just go and have fun on vacation, right?”
Because boom. The moment we landed in Goa—it was raining. And not just regular rain—unseasonal, dramatic, main-character-running-in-the-storm rain. But girl, the tickets were booked. We weren’t turning back. I said goodbye to my doggos and stepped into Goa with determination. And you know what? The moment I touched Goan soil, I swear my inner wounds started healing. I was literally dancing while my parents tried to book a cab. Also? Casinos. Everywhere. Like...okay Vegas
THE FIRST DAY I wore a dress and SHOES (yes, actual shoes. Girl, I didn’t know what I was getting into). We met this one uncle who helped us explore the city—positive vibes only. Exactly what I needed. We went to Aguada Fort, and the rain stormed in-ofc . It poured like the skies were falling. But we didn’t cancel plans, we went to Candolim Beach—yes, in the RAIN.
Now imagine this
Wind so strong, your umbrella gives up on life. Rain slapping your face.
And I still had fun. Who’s doing it like me?
After that, we upgraded to raincoats changed clothes and went to an aquarium, Vagator Beach, and eventually Anjuna Beach which, thank god, had NO RAIN. I got one of those braid thingies done in my hair like a full tourist and was obsessed. We roamed the streets for vegetarian food and found plenty of options, thank god, because I was not trying to live off coconut water and bikaji bhujia.
THE SECOND DAY i was ready yall, the outfit of the day: Black top + purple skirt + raincoat +will to explore = unstoppable.
We went to Dona Paula and the views? UNREAL. Sea breeze, soft waves, plants swaying gently—it was like a Pinterest mood board. Then came Miramar Beach, and omg I felt like I owned a private beach. Tree-lined path, empty shore, shiny sea shells. I’m a proud sea-shell-hoarder ,so this was heaven. We also visited two churches it literally looked like movie set, and even two temples -of course, i was my with parents lol, and in the evening… ofc we saved the best for the last, A CRUISE!!! .The Music, lights, dancing was giving me a vibe like i was a protagonist in a movie and even I danced, okay?? That’s how fun it was. Goa was like, “girl you’re gonna have the time of your life" and i actuallly did
And the next day -the day everyone hates after a perfect vacation , going back home .But I returned with the prettiest shells, cute souvenirs for my friends, and memories and 4 bags of kajus -all my family members , that honestly it felt like healing. And let me telll u this goa makes u so secure in your body everyone is wearing the most colourful, expressive outfits without a worry in their mind so if u want to feel secure in yourself go to goa.And also i am a person who loves water-oceans, sea....anything so it was so it was so fulfilling. Not everything went as planned. Goa rained on me—literally. it was chaotic but healing and I’d do it all again.🐚🧿🦀📸
Anyways that was goa tell me what to write about next and sorry for not posting for like a month after all i am just a teenager trying to survive school ,bharatnatyam and tests. But i promise to try to make posting regular because i have a lot of ideas
ok bye
